Subtle changes in the levels enhances the angularity.Moving from the kitchen one steps on to the deck without changing level but across the deck one steps down either to the lawn or the paving.
The deep rill forms a bold right angle and gives this design its name.
The paved area allows all weather assess to the store and to the clothes line and this too is sharply angular reflecting the reduced traffic as it peters out.
The planting contains many grasses and herbaceous plants along with a tree fern that was a specific request of the clients.
